Our Story

We’re a unique combination of one part finance guru, and one part sales and marketing expert. We’ve sourced private equity opportunities in South America and led strategic healthcare investments in Singapore. We’ve managed HR operations in Antarctica and built sales teams at software start-ups across the country. Our careers have taken us around the world (quite literally), and we’ve certainly learned a lot.

But we were raised farming fields, and making cold calls for regional rural internet providers. We’ve gotten our hands dirty working for auto parts manufacturers, and we’ve done PR for local senior living community owners.

We grew up in small businesses, and saw firsthand their positive influence on our communities.

We’re anchored to the notion that small businesses have a big impact, and we’re committed to carrying on their legacies.

What Matters to Us

Do meaningful work. Small businesses are the backbone of communities, forging connections and weaving together the social fabric of a town or neighborhood. They create jobs, drive economies, and encourage entrepreneurship. While it’s not always glamorous, we believe it’s incredibly important to actively contribute to our communities.

Establish deep roots. We know that building anything significant takes time, which is why we care so much about long-term thinking and decision-making. We take small but meaningful steps in our daily actions, knowing that they will add up to something great over time.

Build strong relationships. Every relationship — every human — is valuable. Relationships built on trust and empathy allow us to better understand one another and embrace our uniqueness. Whether it’s at work or at home, we believe it all starts with positive, healthy relationships.

Embrace potential. Who we are today is not who we will be tomorrow. We believe in possibility, and we take action to turn it into reality. We stay curious and resilient, learning from both our successes and mistakes.
